When the pandemic hit, Grifols sprang into action to create a therapy to help treat patients with COVID-19. In order to develop the treatment, Grifols needed all its donation centers to collect plasma from those that had already healed from the disease.  The anti-bodies in those patients' plasma was the key to making the treatment.
